Sigma Kappa has four values: friendship, service, personal growth, and loyalty. We as a sorority try to stay true to these values and we do so through the different events and programs we offer through-out the school year. Our sisterhood events are very important to us because they help to bring us closer together as we learn more about our sisters, these events also serve as a break from school and help our members to get rid of some stress. We have one large event each year, our sisterhood retreat, in the past we have gone to OWA, roller skating, and have had overnight beach trips. Sisterhood events can incorporate service, for examples, we have had pop-up sisterhood events where we make thank you cards and appreciation gifts for faculty and the community, we have also helped to clean up our campus.
"Sisterhood is family through friendship. I believe that it is important to be there for one another and I have found a great support through the sorority of Sigma Kappa. A lot of sisters have given some great ideas like laser tag, craft nights, and escape rooms. I feel like these events can bring out different sides that we don't normally see in each other." - Celena McLaren, Sisterhood Chairwoman
