Chapter History

The Lambda Alpha Chapter of Sigma Kappa Sorority at Spring Hill College was officially chartered on April 12, 2014. We have had many milestones including successful philanthropy events, such as Sigmalympics, a field day event, and a lip sync battle! Sigma Kappa fully participates in Greek life on campus, by participating in other Greek organizations' philanthropy events. In 2017, we won Panhellenic's Greek Week. In 2018 we won first place at Anchor Splash, first place at Stomp the Hill, Most Outstanding Greek Chapter of the Year and second place at Tau Kappa Epsilon Week. In 2019, we won Anchor Splash and "Best Stomp" at Stomp the Hill. In the Fall of 2019, our chapter was the highest raising team at the Mobile Walk to End Alzheimer's!

We have also had individual members recognized in our chapter with our very own Peyton Givan (President 2018-2019) receiving Greek New Member of the Year 2018.

Though only colonized a few years ago, we have achieved so much and are excited for the upcoming years as our chapter continues to grow and flourish on Spring Hill's Campus. GO BADGERS!
